Gratitude for Quiet Moments

During the Holiday Season it's hard not to be overwhelmed by all the to-do's and schedules and familial obligations. Remembering to pause and appreciate the quiet moments, like the moment you finish decorating the tree and everyone pauses to look at it all a twinkle. Or standing on the front lawn like the Griswold family to stop and enjoy the lights for the first time (though I hope yours are much more subdued, and less eventful).

In these quiet few precious seconds, take it all in, take a deep cleansing breath and enjoy that magical shared memory. Let those moments sustain you when you close your eyes.
-If you are fortunate enough to be celebrating with your family, enjoy the sweet times together where you find them, baking cookies, or the looks of joy and surprise at opening that perfect gift, or the two quiet seconds while you are in the bathroom reading this on your phone.
-If you are celebrating solo, the pauses between Friendsgiving and Holiday parties. The special times when you can don an oversized sweater, slow sip hot cocoa (two handed=extra cozy), and sink down into the couch to watch Love Actually for the 200th time.
No matter where this holiday season finds you, I hope it finds you some quiet moments to enjoy, moments to reflect, and moments to look forward to remembering in future!
